How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Awaydays

Carmarthen, UK

Enabling people to meet together, helping each other to achieve integration into society without the fear of discrimination or anxiety to get involved in such activities which the mainstream in society take for granted. This is achieved by meeting up on a weekly basis to encourage or just to be with each other, usually on a Saturday morning at the Saturday Social which the group holds, where we have some refreshments, also a game of pool etc Awaydays as an organisation has been helping many people who have suffered from emotional health problems since its inception during the year 2003 giving a service that the other large organisations lack, for we give hope to others through our social community gatherings that includes refreshments of tea; coffee; biscuits within a safe supportive environment. Awaydays in the early days during the year 2003 started off with a small group of likeminded people meeting up informally with the aim to plan together to make life better for all, the first formal meeting was held at the Eiriol office in King Street, Carmarthen on the 21st of December 2004, at the meeting of 18th of April 2005 the Constitution of Awaydays was formally adopted. Awaydays as the name implies is a constituted group which enables people to venture out to experience activities which others in society at large take for granted, we have travelled throughout Wales into England also venturing to Dublin many years ago, we give hope to people that are housebound with the occasional day trip to the seaside, or even to the mountain top for we have made such activities happen on many occasions. We do not have much details on the internet, however if you put Awaydays Carmarthen into Google most of your questions that you ask the answers appear on the first page of the Google search, Awaydays also has a sister organisation Awaydays Coastcare, which caters for the more active & adventurous people taking them out on usually three day events, also giving something back to society at large with beach cleans or litter picks around lakeside area usually in mid Wales...starting from the top of today’s page namely for there are links to Awaydays Coastcare in the West Wales Action for Mental Health website; then to Neighbourly; then to “In Your Area” this was when we were looking for a new base; there is also a link to Carmarthenshire Food Network via Cavs.org.uk; then another link to Carmarthen Town Council; then in Images section photo entitled “Awaydays / Neighbourly”; another “Carmarthen befriending group”; another “Awaydays / Neighbourly”, which is the Awaydays logo. Originally formed together in the year 2003 as an “Emotional Health” group of likeminded people...from Mental Health to incorporate people who also suffer from Alcohol issues in their lives, then evolving to incorporate people who have Substance Misuse issues in life, then most recently to incorporate people with Homelessness issues. Every volunteer within Awaydays is in a voluntary capacity.
