We love our city of Cardiff. We believe eliminating food poverty is within our grasp. We believe that empowering individuals, and groups to believe that their simple contribution can make a huge difference, is key. Food poverty is a reality. It’s in every corner of society. A common topic of conversation in our communities and culture. Frequently discussed, researched, investigated, but it continues. At Food4All we operate to make it simple for any willing volunteers to bring food to anyone who can benefit from it. Our volunteers might work in schools, volunteer with community groups, support those elderly or vulnerable, work within schools, mosques, churches, leisure centres! The list goes on and whether big or small, we simply help them all. Volunteers register with the Food4All leadership team. We discuss their community involvement and agree on a weekly plan of food collections. The volunteers are then linked with individual local stores, and supported by the Food4All team to collect donated food on a weekly basis. As a team of around 30 volunteers, we all work together to share, support and encourage. We work 365 days of the year. We support Food Banks, support schools by supplying food for their breakfast clubs, parent cookery classes; food for pensioners in retirement accommodation, asylum seekers and refugees as well as families in need who have vulnerable family members and much more, together reaching hundreds of households each week in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. We are grateful for every single crate, every loaf of bread, every bag of salad, every croissant! Each item represents our opportunity and hope that in sharing, maybe, just maybe one person that day will have a reason to hope. That they would know they are not alone, and that they too would have a hope for the future. Throughout the week: Free food available to the community from Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Cardiff, where individuals and families come together and help themselves to whatever they need in a warm and friendly environment. Deliver food parcels to the breakfast club in Splott as well as a the Star centre. Also providing vital food supplies to those in need in the Ely area of Cardiff via the Dusty Forge and St Vincent's Church. Providing food to support parents at cookery classes and the breakfast club at Cathays High School, supporting families in need. Supporting individuals and families in need in the deprived inner city areas of Cardiff (Splott, Adamsdown and Tremorfa) by delivering directly to the Mosques to support their food markets as well as individual families. Saturday: Fortnightly free food markets running in Llanishen. Supported by Llanishen Baptist church and Llanishen Catholic Church. Providing essential food support for pensioners in Llanbradach, Rhondda Cynon Taff. Free food open to the community from both Al Manar and Mosque Omar where people come together and help themselves to whatever they need.

We are a community space in St Catherine's Church - a place to meet, make connections and a place to find help. We host toddler groups, craft groups, self help groups, Welsh conversation lessons, yoga and job seeking support and are always open to new community projects. We work with Pontypridd Foodbank and have free fresh food available through Neighbourly to support anyone in the area who needs it.

Michael Climer Legacy Fund started delivering food to families in need at the end of 2019. In 2020 the pandemic changed everything; we noticed that the need was much greater, and we delivered food every week - never missing a week all through the several lockdown periods. We started with twelve families and today we look after over seventy Talking to our families each week it became apparent many needed help in other ways e.g. debt advice, housing problems and mental health issues. We put together information on many different agencies that could supply good practical advice, mainly local council agencies. Apart from helping our families with their weekly budget, it is important to us to reduce food waste as a part of our Eco Initiative. Collecting surplus food from local supermarkets serves this duel purpose in our community. The Charity has been fortunate enough to receive funding from our local council and other sources during the last eighteen months and this has allowed us to expand our outreach programme. We have set up a food co-operative one day a week at our church hall to allow families to access locally sourced fresh food. We supply recipe cards to encourage healthy eating and educate on the best ways to avoid food waste. It is our intention to set up a credit union collection point to encourage saving small amounts and provide information on safe lenders. There will be a tea and coffee corner free of charge for socialising and chat on any subject information is needed. Our weekly deliveries to families runs in tandem to this new project. As of the beginning of November 2021 our food co-operative has been running every Tuesday from the church hall. Recipients receive two bags of food for a payment of £2 50p. Ambient food such as tins and packets some toiletries and laundry products when available and fresh fruit and vegetables donated by local supermarkets. In November 18 to 20 families attended, this has steadily grown and now that food prices and energy costs have risen sharply we have 55 to 65 families each week receiving food from the co-op. In addition we deliver food supplies still to vulnerable people on Mondays. Our tea and coffee area is free of charge and very popular. Many tell us this weekly contact with others is their only escape from isolation. The chat is pleasant and it is a cheery area of the hall each week. We have agents on hand to advise on any concerns people would wish to enquire and many have received information to take their worries to a positive outcome. numbers continue to grow each week and we are grateful to all supermarkets and others that are willing to donate to our cause, We regularly have qualified hairdressers and beauticians attending offering haircuts blow drys and nail painting free of charge Since February 2025 we have changed our venue. We no longer operate from the church hall but have increased our food co op operation to two days each week, one at Llanbradach and one at Cefn Hengoed.
