Hi we our a mental heath charity in newry , at the minate we do not receive funding we are self funded which is now nearly all we can give , The sanctuary we aim to create a safe , secure , happy and peaceful relaxing environment and atmosphere but we need help to keep our dream alive as the people we have coming are now dependent on it , we do a range of activities arts & crafts , bingo , music, quizs , board games , knitting, painting so we need funds and maybe surplus items to continue we also try to help the less fortunate with food we receive by sell by date on the day so we could maybe help the community out aswell The Sanctuary is like a safe guard to all who visit and with the help we can progress and grow bigger , we also have a pit of land that we are working on all recycled materials as we never received funding for it its all to keep the people that come to us outdoors for a while if weather is ok so we would appreciate any help whatsoever

Women's Aid Armaghdown works with women and children who are experiencing domestic / sexual violence and abuse in their homes or in the community. We provide emergency accommodation for single women and women with children. We link our residents into professional local services to ensure they receive the advice and support with housing 'move on' and resettlement. Internally we offer confidential one to one support, group support and have access to the children and young peoples support services. We also provide a drop in service and a range of programmes both for women and children. We are active in our local community and visit our primary and post primary schools with our Helping hands and Heading for healthy relationship programmes. This aims to educate young people by providing them with information and raise awareness around the topic of domestic violence and unhealthy relationships. Women's Aid Armaghdown are also Safe Place partners with the PSNI and ONUS. Safe place is an initiative offering information on the wide range of services available to all victims of domestic violence. We believe that all of society can play an important role in supporting victims of domestic violence and send a clear message that domestic violence is intolerable. Women's Aid is a much needed and vital service in our local communities. The SNAP Special Needs Autism Project was born from a need to address insufficient services and out of school activities/clubs for neurodiverse children. Also the lack of guidance, training, and support for parents and families. We are based in the the rural Village of South Armagh but serve a much wider community. Our ethos is Nurture, Protect, Inspire and Connect and we aim to bring inclusion to all members of the community with a family member with additional needs. SNAPs purpose is in raising Awareness of Autism and Additional needs in our community. We provide children of all abilities, along with their families, a safe and welcoming, unjudgmental space. Our activities include : Fundraising events - Tea & Coffee Mornings, Bake Sales, Car Boot Sales, Craft Fayres, Christmas Raffle, Bucket Collections. Parent Support Group - The last Friday of every month is dedicated to celebrating parents/carers and the selfless work they do as unpaid carers. We do things like talks from SENAC Special Education Needs Advice Centre, Autism NI Talks and group training. Parentline Courses, NSPCC SEN Safeguarding Courses, First Aid courses, Digital Skills Training, Makaton Training Level 1 & 2, Candle Making Workshops, Fitness Training, Mindfulness Workshops, Dance Fit Classes, Lego Therapy Training, Bushcraft Days and alot more. These Workshops Improve the mental health and wellbeing of carers of children with Special Needs and Autism. We run a weekly SNAP Kids youth provision. Ages range from 4-11 A weekly SNAP Teens youth provision. Ages range from 10-19 Activities include: Music Therapy. Art Therapy. Horseriding. Circus Skills Workshops. Rugby Skills Workshops. Hip Hop Dance Workshops. Arts & Crafts Activities. Sensory & Messy Play. Family Days out like - beach trips, Alpacas meet & mingle, Pumpkin Patch Farm, Christmas Experience, Easter Cuddly Animal Experience and much more.
