Christ Exalted Church (CEC) is a registered charity in the UK. CECs always work together with their partners to reach out to the community to improve people's livelihoods. CEC is a multicultural and diverse church in Wellingborough. The members of CEC are predominantly Black African and Caribbean. The majority of CEC members are needy families and the homeless. The object of CEC is to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of beliefs in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom as the trustees may occasionally think fit. CEC & EMMAERICS charity services work in partnership with Foodiverse and Neighbourly to collect surplus food for donation. The surplus collection has helped us to feed and support over 10,000 (ten thousand) needy families and homeless people, including children, since 2017. These needy families and homeless people depend on the surplus food collection to meet their daily needs

The Good Plate is a community project which makes use of food that would otherwise be wasted. This could be surplus from shops, restaurants and allotments or perfectly edible food that has damaged packaging, incorrect labelling and best-before dates. The Good Plate offers grocery items weekly at our pop-up stall. We hope to provide not only good food, but a pleasant environment for anyone and everyone --- people from anywhere and all walks of life, whilst educating people on living responsibly and sustainably with habits that will be sustainable long-term. Activities run by The Good Plate operate on a 'Pay as you feel' concept where people are encouraged to think about what their bag of groceries or food item means to them, and value it in whatever way they can. By choosing not to segregate people based on financial circumstances, we are able to fund not only the project but can do so in a way that does not patronise those who need it and those who want to support it. Everyone is equal in getting fed and it is up to the individual to be generous according to their circumstances. All our staff work on a voluntary basis. Funds raised enable The Good Plate to further support individuals, families and other projects in need of a little help. We help people/causes in the hope that the little help propels them to go on to bless others. We are very grateful for the support we get through Neighbourly and for the work done by the Neighbourly team and all our business donors (especially their staff), enabling us to do the work that we do in our community and beyond. Alfred Lord Tennyson School is split over two sites - Infants and Juniors. Tennyson Road Infant School and Alfred Street Junior School amalgamated to become a Primary School. We also provide a diverse range of clubs such as gardening, art, languages, crochet, boccia, football, dodgeball – all free of charge. We have several families who struggle financially and free food parcels we put together from the surplus food collections really help out our families in times of need. Currently we only collect surplus food from Aldi in Irthlingborough.
