To be a resource centre for the spiritual and practical needs of the surrounding population. we offer ourselves and our services to all regardless of race or creed. all that we do has a strong christian emphasis. we firmly believe that a sound spiritual awareness is fundamental to understanding and meeting the needs of our nation. Nuneaton Community Church has for years met needs in the local community - initially in an ad hoc way. We were seeing the need to regularly supply food and clothes to families. We also supplied Christmas hampers, which included toys, to families recommended by Social services. According to County Council statistics, the area the church serves is among the neediest in Warwickshire in terms of multiple depravation

Doorway provides free housing advice, welfare benefit advice, accommodation and support to homeless young people aged 16-25 throughout Warwickshire. Young people are referred to our service or are able to self-refer. They are offered an initial assessment that identifies needs and goals. Our aim is to ensure that homeless young people can look forward with optimism, raise their aspirations and improve their quality of life as a result of accessing good quality housing and support. Finding accommodation is essential for young people and a platform to leading productive and fulfilling lives. Training young people is integrated into our work, starting with New Home Workshops prior to moving into accommodation. Doorway’s Jobwise Programme was developed to improve their employability skills and our Lifewise Programme offers a range of accredited AQA life skills modules. Other projects such as gardening, sexual health, cooking and cleaning provide opportunities for young people to learn whilst developing confidence and social skills. Food donations support young people to eat healthily on a budget and encourage them to increase the range and variety of foods they eat. These donations also support our cooking sessions, which are about more than just teaching young people to cook; it is also about developing confidence in the kitchen, building essential social networks with other young people who have experienced homelessness.
