Conservation of our coastal Wildlife
Mablethorpe, UK
At The Seal Sanctuary North End, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release seals and all kinds of wildlife that are injured, orphaned, or in distress. Every year, we respond to urgent calls along the coastline and surrounding areas—caring for seals, seabirds, and many other species affected by malnutrition, entanglement, pollution, or illness. Our dedicated team provides round-the-clock care, expert veterinary treatment, and safe rehabilitation spaces until the animals are healthy enough to return to their natural habitats.
Running this life-saving work is costly. Veterinary supplies, food, equipment, and the upkeep of our specialist facilities require significant funding. Rising costs of energy and essential goods have placed real financial strain on our sanctuary, making it harder to meet the growing demand for rescues and the long rehabilitation periods that many animals need.
Thanks to the generous donations from Lids and Neighbourly, we can continue this critical mission. Their support helps provide medical care, nutritious food, and the maintenance of our pools, aviaries, and wildlife enclosures. With their help, we save hundreds of animals each year, giving seals and countless other wild creatures a second chance at life in the wild.
Every donation, no matter the size, directly helps us rescue and care for wildlife in need. Together, we are protecting our precious ecosystems and giving vulnerable animals the future they deserve.

Our community are our service users and a lot of them come to our warm space and coffee & chat so we know all of them and their needs. We have Linda from LN12 CIC with us every week and she can make foodbank referrals through her Community Growth Officer role, therefore we get direct referrals too. We work with Hope House Church in Mablethorpe providing them with end of day food too. We also have Citizens Advice based in Trusthorpe Village Hall so we can help people with end of day food through them too. We basically deliver to anyone in need in our area.
