We believe that nobody should live in fear. Our ultimate aim is to make women and children safer. We work to achieve effective responses to domestic abuse – and we work to end violence against women by tackling its root cause, which is gender inequality. We do this by: ◾ Promoting women’s equality and children’s rights. ◾ Campaigning for responses which actively prevent violence against women. ◾ Providing free confidential information, support and refuge to women, young people and children experiencing domestic abuse. We can provide safe temporary accommodation, information and support for women and their children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse regardless of their age, culture, disability, ethnicity or sexuality. We offer online, telephone and face to face support to women, children and young people whenever they need it. We believe in a person centred approach giving our service users the control over their sessions and the content. We work to empower our service users and to aid them to live full healthy rewarding lives.

|The organisation's purposes are: 1. the advancement of environmental protection by reducing orkney's carbon footprint and raising awareness of climate change among the community. 2. the advancement of education by presenting workshops, lectures and lessons on a range of environmental matters to improve the community's knowledge of climate change and how they can make a difference.
