How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Possobilities Ltd

Glasgow, UK

We are an action-based voluntary organisation striving for proper resources and support for disabled people in Glasgow. Possobilities gives members with disabilities access to the resources they require to support them to grow, learn and develop so that they can achieve their goals within society in a safe and supportive environment. The majority of our members, have disabilities in various forms from mental to physical, Down’s Syndrome, vision, speech and hearing impairments, learning disabilities, Cerebral Palsy etc. Disability can limit opportunities, but our members experience more barriers than most as a result of living and growing up in one of Scotland’s most deprived areas. Most of our members survive on low income despite having diverse accessibility, health and living space conversion requirements. According the findings of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation, Possilpark (especially the area around where we are based on Closeburn Street) is one of the deprived areas of the country. Disabled people in this area benefit from even less provision of and access to services to suit their needs than those living elsewhere. Our membership is made up of people living not only in Possilpark but across North Glasgow, with coverage of Milton, Springburn, Balornock, Maryhill, Summerston, Wyndford, Hamiltonhill, Barmulloch, Cowcaddens, Ruchill, Lambhill and beyond. These are people of all ages who have physical and/or learning disabilities and require accessibility considerations in service provision. Access to ongoing healthcare and education is low and there is high levels of unemployment in the area. Possobilities is able to provide access to all of these things in an environment which is specifically tailored to the needs of disabled people while maintaining a welcoming environment for people of all abilities.
