The Redeemed Christian Church of God - Shepherd's House Arbroath is a church operating as a charity organization that caters for both the physical and spiritual well-being of our members and people in the community. As a Church and charity organization, our interest in Neighbourly is for us to have access to provisions from partnering stores so we can share them with our indigent members and neighbors. We are not soliciting for donations or funding. Presently, the charity uses church resources to cater for the needs of our members and neighbours who require provisions and basic day-day support with basic needs. We currently have 5 volunteers within our organization driving this initiative.

We are a busy playgroup based in Arbroath, catering for children aged 2-5 years old, operating Monday-Friday 8.45am-2.45pm. We currently have 52 children on our register. We provide breakfast, lunch and snack for our children, we strive to create a safe, nurturing space for children to learn through play. We have a community larder where we supply food, clothing, toiletries, toys which is open to playgroup families as well as the local community. We have a large polytunnel and allotment space where we grow fruit and vegetables for the playgroup a big source of enjoyment was growing our very own pumpkins for Halloween this year. We have a large garden which houses a pond, orchard and wildlife area for the local squirrels, foxes and hedgehogs. We believe children learn a lot from risky play and encourage climbing and use of tools from gardening equipment to vegetable peelers. Many of our resources and natural loose parts, encouraging children to use their imagination in play.

"We're a group who want to enhance the health and wellbeing of the local community and visitors." We’re trying to make things better for everyone in the Friockheim area. We're doing this by maintaining the park and public toilets, cleaning play equipment, litter picking, gardening, painting and more. ** NEW FOR 2025 - FOODBANK ** We are operating a foodbank / surplus donations, we are donated food from business, The food is then redistributed to local community kitchens, ourselves (to make refreshments / soup/ bakery) and families in need. This process not only helps fight hunger in the community but also supports environmental sustainability by reducing food waste. The foodbank is accessible during our opening hours. Please contact us if you are interested in donating to the foodbank. Volunteering opportunity We need volunteers to help with cleaning play equipment and public toilets, litter picking, gardening, assisting in manual labour (painting and light construction), photography at the park, assisting at our clean up meeting point lock up, helping us online with our website and our Facebook page, being a Trustee or Committee Member, help bake refreshments for our events or fundraising.
