Lidl Montrose

The Montrose branch of the Royal British Legion has a team of dedicated, forward thinking volunteers who engage with the wider community promoting inter generational activity, health and wellbeing, commradeship and welfare while combating social isolation. We have an area Welfare Team who help signpost individuals needs and we provide support locally where needed. We welcome local charities and community groups to use our premises for various purposes with minimal or no charge. We currently collect surplus donations from our local branches of Lidls, Aldis and Tescos, and we share any excess with other Community groups and Charities in the area.

We are a community owned cinema and arts venue in the Angus town of Montrose. Our community fridge is for everyone, it is not a food bank it is a redistrubution service. The main aims are to help reduce waste and provide access to food for those struggling to provide healthy, balanced meals for themshelves or their families. The whole ethos of The Playhouse is about social inclusion. We aim to provide the entire community with access to cultural, educational and inclusive experiences. Aside from a cinema, Montrose Playhouse also features a variety of additional spaces for our community to use. Activity rooms, a cafe bar and our retail space can all adapt for different uses to make Montrose Playhouse a thriving community hub.

YMCA Montrose Charity No. SC016133 Creating Opportunities, Supporting Families At YMCA Montrose—known locally as MoHUB—we’re committed to making a meaningful difference for young people aged 8 to 18. Our co‑designed youth sessions provide a safe, welcoming space where young people can learn, socialise, and thrive without barriers. From gaming and crafts to homework support and wellbeing activities, every part of MoHUB is shaped around what young people need and value. We keep costs low so every child feels equal, and we provide a free hot snack at every session to help tackle food insecurity. Mental health support is central to our work too—our dedicated Health Youth Worker ensures young people always have someone to turn to. Beyond youth work, our FoodHUB project supports around 30 households every week. Offering essential help to families across our community, from tinned food to hygiene products, fresh fruit & vegetables to pet food. Together, we’re building brighter futures—one young person, one family at a time.
