How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

Light Life Full Gospel Fellowship

We are a registered charitable organisation operating a Foodbank service from our church building, we rescue surplus food in partnership with Neighbourly and Fareshare - food that would otherwise go to Landfill. We transport this back to our base where we sort the food into parcels, then redistributes it to families and individuals who are struggling to put food on their table. We serve over 300 people on a weekly basis. This includes a delivery service for elderly and disabled people who are most vulnerable in the community. In 2022 after lockdown we started operating a warm space service, one day per week providing three meals and social activities which is good interaction with the community also. We have seen this as a vital service to the community but the demandis rising due to the economic crisis. We are extremely pleased with the success and now humbly ask for your support in fund donations to help us with the continuation for this service. We are on a mission to make a difference in the lives of those in need within our community.

Stockwell community center

London, UK

We provide a safe and welcoming space where people can access warm meals, drinks, and essential support. We also work closely with probation services, offering Education, Training, and Employment (ETE) support to those reintegrating into the community after involvement with the criminal justice system. In addition, we provide various activities to promote well-being and social inclusion. Currently, we are experiencing a significant increase in demand for our services, particularly for food and hygiene products. We are struggling to meet the needs of the many individuals who rely on us for sustenance and support. We are reaching out to request your assistance in the form of regular food and hygiene product donations. Even occasional drop-offs of surplus items such as: Fresh produce Bread and bakery items Canned goods Dry goods (pasta, rice, etc.) Hygiene products (soap, shampoo, etc.) would make a tremendous difference to those we serve. We are committed to ensuring all donations are handled responsibly and distributed efficiently to those in need. We believe that a partnership with a few stores would be mutually beneficial, allowing you to contribute to your local community while minimising food waste.
