Iglesia Cristiana GESMA is a registered charity (No. 1206636) based in Enfield, North London. Our mission is to support vulnerable families, individuals in crisis and members of the local community through practical assistance, food support, pastoral care and emotional wellbeing programmes. Where we operate: We run our community support activities from our premises at 52 Oatlands Road, EN3 5LL, where we assist families every week with food bags, clothing, small household essentials and basic guidance. We also visit homes and support vulnerable individuals directly in the community. Who we help and how we find them: We support low-income families, single parents, refugees, elderly residents living alone, and individuals facing food insecurity. Most people are referred to us through local contacts, word of mouth, social media, and other community organisations. Many families also come directly to our church seeking emergency support. What support we are requesting from Neighbourly: We are looking to receive food surplus, occasional volunteering help, and potential small grants. Surplus food will allow us to provide weekly food parcels to the many families who currently depend on our support. Do we charge for services? No. All our services, food support and assistance are provided completely free of charge to the community. Our mission is to assist vulnerable families, migrants, individuals in crisis, and local residents experiencing food insecurity or social hardship. We run a weekly programme providing free food support to low-income households, single parents, newly arrived migrant families, elderly neighbours, and those affected by financial instability. All our services are completely free of charge. We identify people in need through community referrals, local networks, social media, outreach activities, and direct contact with families within Enfield and surrounding areas. Alongside food distribution, we provide pastoral support, emotional guidance, home visits, social integration activities and help for individuals going through difficult situations. We work collaboratively with other faith-based organisations, local groups, community leaders and public services when needed. Food donations received from Neighbourly partners are distributed immediately and safely to families. Our volunteers follow proper food safety guidelines for transport, handling and storage to ensure the highest standard of care and responsibility. We welcome support through food surplus donations, volunteering, community partnerships, and future grant opportunities that will allow us to expand our capacity to serve. Our purpose is simple: to help our community thrive by showing the love of God in a practical and accessible way for everyone.

Edible London was formed over 5 years ago but registered in (March 2018) as a community interest company working within and around the surrounding area of the London Borough of Haringey. We believe in win-win dynamics… in sharing… in collaborating…in creating structures built on empathy and abundance. Our goal is to help those in the community who suffer from food poverty to eat a more nutritious diet and, in turn, learn to feed their community through food growing. Created as a coming-together of a diverse, determined and committed crew of local individuals, all working toward an inspiring goal. Planned a brighter future for not only the Wolves Lane Horticultural Centre but also for the local community and those disenfranchised and disconnected with those living around them; all centred around horticulture and community spirit. The idea of food growing bringing people together and closer to the natural world in general, within the geographical location it is situated. Haringey is deeply affected by many issues that you would expect to find in an area with high levels of economic inequality. Food poverty, social isolation, crime, a disenfranchised youth, high levels of this, offsets the relentless march of gentrification, pushing aside individuals and families on lower incomes who have been an integral part of this area for many years and even generations. OUR AMBITION AND LONG-TERM GOALS - To increase our offering to those in the community who suffer from food poverty. - To allow everybody to eat a more nutritious diet, to educate them and allow them to educate others and, in turn, learn to feed their community through food growing and better food education. - To support the local and wider community by providing them with the education and opportunity to support themselves and those in need by growing and getting involved with the process of growing and producing organic sustainable food.

"We serve between 250 and 300 meals each day but this can be as many as 350 on the coldest days in winter. The charity's mission is to provide a caring and safe environment for the poor, the marginalised and those who suffer from isolation or are in any kind of physical or emotional need in our community. The charity is financed by annual funding from The Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, other small grant-giving trusts, local businesses, churches and schools and private benefactors. Additional finance is provided by fundraising events organised by our board of trustees, staff and wonderful volunteers. The ongoing need for the advice support and hope offered by Acton Homeless Concern is a sad indictment of the continuing high levels of homelessness and poverty in London in 2017.
