How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Cleator caring Moor

Cleator Moor, UK

We are a community group who help others by passing on items and food to those in need, food and items of clothing and household goods are usually donated by other members of the community. We also have foodbank voucher holders within our group but do not have a foodbank within the town we live in and many in our small town do not drive or have the finances in place to travel to the foodbank. We are an emergency stop gap for food until we can get the community member some further help from outside agencies. We have also begun working in partnership with other groups concerned with food poverty Works 4 You Cleator Moor, Moorclose Community Centre and Priory Drive Swap Shop. Harriston Village Hall Cio

Wigton, UK

We are a small not for profit organisation, that fought to stop harriston village hall from permanent closure, and from being sold off. our doors are open to everyone from the very young to the elderly. we provide facilities for everyone to use in harriston, and the surrounding area, for recreation and leisure. all our funding is put back into the upkeep, and running costs of our village hall. We started a food Pantry in June 2019, initially this was a pilot project, but it has taken off, especially during the pandemic and lock down, when we became a food hub for Harriston and surrounding area. We have found that more people are in need than even we envisioned. We also provide a service to the vulnerable and those having to self isolate. We have also expanded our opening times, and are now open several days a week, we receive food from different sources, Food donated via Neighbourly will not be for sale or has a price tag, it is given to those in real need.
