Foundation For Good is an esteemed registered charity with a noble purpose: to empower the most vulnerable members of society in England's top 20% most deprived communities. Our unwavering commitment is to provide indispensable support to disabled individuals, disadvantaged youth, and marginalised populations. Central to our approach is alternative education, harnessing the latest research on neuroplasticity to instigate positive behaviour change and cater to students who may have encountered challenges in traditional classrooms. In addition to our pioneering educational initiatives, we also operate a food bank and foster a warm, inclusive space for forming meaningful connections among individuals. Our mental health services, thoughtfully designed to cater to those facing mental health challenges, are readily available to those in need. We take immense pride in our work with deprived young people in our area, offering them transformative avenues to channel their energies, ultimately reducing the risk of offending and antisocial behaviour. A diverse range of programs, encompassing wellness activities, ensures that they remain healthy, engaged, and inspired to reach their full potential. At Foundation For Good, we are passionately dedicated to making a profound and positive impact in the lives of those who need it most. Our effectiveness thrives on the foundation of robust partnerships with various stakeholders, including the police, antisocial behaviour team, over 15 schools, and Derwentside social prescribers. Together, we form an unwavering force, striving to create a brighter, more promising future for the communities we proudly serve.

We work from the old YMCA building as a charity-run school for students who find a mainstream school challenging for them. Our school has all different SEND, ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, etc. We offer them all the help and support they need to make their life in school more relaxed and for them to have a better chance at GCSEs. We always look for donations big or small for our students. We take our students out into the community for days out. Local businesses have donated prizes to us to hand out to students when they have worked well. We have a Facebook page called Delta Independent School, which has information about our school and photos of our students and the work they have done inside and outside of school.
