Our organisation is a community‑focused initiative dedicated to improving lives, strengthening neighbourhoods, and expanding opportunities for people across Sunderland and the wider North‑East. We work across multiple social‑impact areas, including poverty alleviation, health and wellbeing, children and youth development, employability and skills, domestic abuse support, sports and recreation, digital skills, equality, diversity and inclusion, education and training, family support, community cohesion, and arts, culture and heritage. We support individuals and families experiencing hardship, food insecurity, unemployment, social isolation, domestic abuse, digital exclusion, and limited access to safe recreational or educational spaces. Our programmes include surplus‑food redistribution, wellbeing activities, youth mentoring, sports sessions, digital‑skills workshops, employability coaching, family‑support interventions, cultural activities, and inclusive community events. We work closely with schools, local authorities, partner charities, volunteers, and grassroots groups to ensure that support is accessible, dignified, and responsive to real community needs. Our organisation urgently needs surplus food donations, including fresh produce, non‑perishables, bakery items, dairy, and culturally appropriate foods. We also rely on volunteers to assist with food distribution, youth activities, digital‑skills support, sports coaching, community events, and administrative tasks. Partnerships with local businesses, funders, and service providers help us expand our reach and sustain vital programmes. Our mission is to build a healthier, safer, more inclusive community where every person—regardless of background or circumstance has the opportunity to thrive. Through practical support, education, creativity, and connection, we aim to reduce hardship, empower families, uplift young people, and strengthen community cohesion.

- Religious activities - Children/young people - Elderly/old people - Other charities or voluntary bodies - The general public/mankind - Provides advocacy/advice/information RCCG The Fruitful Vine is a faith based organisation that seeks to promote the Christian beliefs of people living in Sunderland and the neighbouring communities, likewise, promote the wellbeing of people who identify with our charity and the larger society. We currently hire a space from Betsy Jenny Wellbeing Cafe, a CIC and vibrant and welcoming wellbeing cafe in the heart of
Sunderland City Centre where everyone is welcome. We operate most our activities and projects from this facility. This activities include the provision of one to one and group counselling sessions for migrants, refugees, asylum seekers or people with experience of homelessness and mental health problems that cannot afford counselling services. Also, we provide both online and face to face workshops and seminars to support people navigate life, especially with issues around CV writing and searching for employment amongst others. As a church, members of the Faith community attend church in this venue every Sunday, which also creates a platform to reach out to people who may need support or help as the case may present. Our charity support people within the Christian faith in Sunderland who identify with us. Likewise, migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, people with experiences of homelessness who find by going to community groups, hostels, and even the university. We are looking for support such as food surplus and grants. Our charity donate food to people who are facing financial challenges and may find it challenging to afford food due to their present circumstances. Also, we organise a free event on Christmas Day where we offer free food and gift to people experiencing loneliness and homelessness during Christmas - grant to support this event will be greatly appreciated. Additionally, we are looking for grants to help buy some of the equipments we use for some community outreaches we organise within the community. Such as musical equipments and hire of rooms.

Safe Harbour is a community Hub that runs a drop in and warm welcome space. we offer free food and drink for those in the community. We also have a baby bank and period poverty hub for those who need support with nappies, and period products. We offer food to those in need including referrals for vouchers where needed.
