Whittlesey Emergency Food Aid (WEFA) is an independent non profit making organisation established in November 2014 and is responsible for helping those who are experiencing food poverty in the area. Referrals are made by third parties with whom we work in partnership,including schools, Social Services, Housing Associations, GP surgeries , Health and Family Workers, GP's , the Police and others as well as by word of mouth. The WEFA storage and distribution centre is based at The Whittlesey Christian Church in Broad Street, Whittlesey, where families and individuals come and collect their food parcels on a weekly basis which can also include toiletries and household products depending on availability at the time. WEFA relies entirely on food and cash donations from individuals, community groups, churches, shops and schools, without whom the scheme couldn't operate, Crucial to its success is the much appreciated help and support received by volunteers who freely give up their time to collect and sort the donations and make up the food parcels ready for distribution. WEFA has seen a significant increase in the number of people using its service with a wide demographic of people being referred due to a number of factors causing them to experience food poverty. The ethos of the project is to work with the contacts for as long as its necessary until their situation is resolved. We've had tremendous success in achieving this and therefore the project continues to grow from strength to strength . Coupled with that success is the need for us to develop further our partnership working with others which is why we are excited to be a part of the 'Neighbourly' scheme. We do not charge for any of our services or for anything either collected or delivered by us

Christian local project supporting local families in need by providing emergency food parcels, as well as signposting and additional support where appropriate. We are seeking food donations. We mainly use tinned, and non perishable food items but can take certain ambient food but please contact us first.

Parents of disabled children are often thrust into this new, scary and complicated world with no advice, knowledge or training. Without the right support, the time creating precious family memories loses out to the stresses of everyday life and not knowing what the future holds. Little Miracles is ran by parents, for parents, and we aim to offer what we wish we had during testing times - a shoulder to cry on, pointers in the right direction and people to relate to and socialise with - as well as celebrate the small milestones that mean the world. We offer daily activities from our purpose-built play centre, The Spinney. Our centre was built in September 2013 by the BBC's Children in Need and DIYSOS following a massive outpouring of public support for our cause. In addition to daily activities, we employ specialists that provide their services at no cost to our families (as with all the work that we do) - a family support worker, sensory support worker and counsellors. The services we offer include: Recreational and educational activities for young people Comprehensive benefits assessments (and help completing paperwork) Advocacy Counselling and bereavement counselling Low-cost holidays - Caravan of Miracles Courses/workshops from qualified tutors Early intervention services
