Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.
Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.
Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.
Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.
Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.
Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

We are open on Wednesday mornings at St Mary's Church, Bridport between 11.30 and 1.00pm. People are welcome to attend from 11.15am for free tea, coffee and a bun and those that need emergency food are able to collect a package of 3 days emergency supply. We support many people from all walks of life who for a variety of reasons need a little extra support financially. We do not hand out any money, but can help peoples money go further by providing emergency food. Some examples of people we have helped are: - families where the main bread winner has been put out of work - people who have had their benefits stopped - people waiting for their benefits application to be processed - people who are in work, but are finding it difficult to manage due to rising costs or an unexpected bill - people who are street homeless or are sofa surfing - people who have had to leave their home due to domestic violence The list is endless and is individual to each person. We are reliant on the local community for donations of food, time and money for the project to run. We are always appreciative of all donations and are particularly short of some of the basics such as: UHT Milk, Coffee, Sugar, tinned meats, rice, and tinned rice pudding, tinned fruit and pasta sauces. Cupboard Love is very lucky as we also have donations of fresh fruit, vegetables and bread from local traders in the town which we collect on the day we are open. Cupboard Love has a number donation sites within the town including: Morrisons, Waitrose, Uppercuts and St Mary's Church. Thank you for your support.

. The children attending the pre-school comes from many different backgrounds in the surrounding area. The children have snacks and lunch at the pre-school and we are keen to offer them the opportunity to taste and experience a wide variety of different foods and we use every opportunity to encourage them to understand the importance of eating a healthy diet. We only collect surplus food from Lidl and it is used within the pre-school and also gifted to parents of the children attending. The parents really appreciate the extra support with surplus food we provide for them as a majority of the families are on low income. Most of the funding we receive is from the government and a small proportion of fees are paid by the parents. We keep our childcare fees low to make it affordable for everyone. We are constantly fundraising to subsidise families on low income and to keep the pre-school going.
