A community hub will be developed around the concept of a not-for-profit shop, which will re-distribute produce from a range of supermarkets and other food producers. The shop will be a membership-based food club. Excess food will be collected from local food suppliers that would otherwise have gone to landfill. Based on the Port Grocery example in Ellesmere Port, membership of the scheme will cost £6.00 per week, and be open to all. The £6.00 membership fee will enable members to access a minimum of £20 worth of food each week. Should people be unable to afford the membership and in need of food then we will offer free boxes of fresh produce. Bwyd Da Môn Good Food will have a wide range of stock with the emphasis being on fresh nutritious produce. All items will be donated by supermarkets, wholesale distributors, the hospitality sector, care providers, and major employers. The distribution of fresh nutritious produce will be supported by the local college offering cookery courses, initially on line, to support people in preparing healthy nutritious meals from fresh readily available produce. As part of this there will be a slow cooker initiative, providing the equipment and skills to produce healthy one pot meals. Bwyd Da Mon will offer volunteering opportunities to individuals who lack experience or are unemployed. Ongoing training and support will be provided to ensure volunteers become an employable asset to organisations on the Island or further afield. The scheme will aim to address loneliness and isolation, promote positive mental health, and ensure that multiple partners can also offer services from the facility. It will become a one-stop facility for advice, information and support, with the food offer being the enabler for all the other initiatives to thrive. Bwyd Da Mon also supports vulnerable families for up to 12 weeks with free food parcels. This is done through working in partnership with various 3rd sector agencies as well as the Local Authority to support the most vulnerable in our communities

Digartref is a not for profit registered charity and has been providing support and assistance to those affected by homelessness since 1998. Providing both short and long term solutions for those experiencing or at risk of becoming homeless. ​ Over the past 20 years the charity has expanded the range of homeless prevention services it provides and now offers assistance to those aged 16 upwards with no upper age limit. ​ Digartref run a range of homeless prevention projects and programs which aim to reduce homelessness and its impact, ensuring as many people as possible access the support that meets their individual needs and circumstances.
