Looprun is a response division and part of an independent social enterprise. This is more than food and is part of a supportive services platform to help people get sustained in their own individual way. With up to 94% success rate and seeing once those receiving free Looprun response bags to returning to stores as shoppers with baskets full. These are the impact stories created when all come together to do good for good. Service users are signposted to Looprun mostly from referrals including professionals in social and healthcare. Looprun provides free non perishables, perishable food, toiletries, and brand new clothing to people facing a temporary challenge. Whatever supermarkets, stores, and retailers can do is turned into a grateful donation to a neighbour in need. This is a response to real people in real-time. No food is banked providing a direct in and out service. We believe if the food is stored then a person in need is not getting any food, hence we provide an instant response and instant impact service. Looprun has access to professional volunteers who carry out a confidential support service to people in need. From homeless shelters, hostels, sheltered housing, care homes, soup kitchens and schools. This is a non voucher, free and confidential service. This means Looprun can reach more people in need with food donations. Anyone that receives a Looprun bag of essential food items is sustained thus creating a loop cycle. Weekly Hot Food Kitchen for Families, homeless, refugees and anyone in need. We provide free food parcels and have a place for people to get food from. We provides hot meals & food parcels to people in the community who are facing hardships and struggling with the cost of living. The service also offers a range of other support to their users including a clothing bank and making referrals to the local authority where needed and signposting to other third-party organisations. The hot food kitchen was a lifeline to many throughout the Covid pandemic period when over 700 meals were delivered per week to people at their home addresses. It has remained a vital lifeline to many within the Rochdale borough, particularly with the recent cost of living crisis. We serve an excess of 200 people each week: in addition, we deliver hot food to vulnerable people as well as delivering to hostels and homeless providers and referral families too. The hot food kitchen serves rice and curry as its staple, as well as offering pizza and chips to vegetarians and children. Tea and biscuits are also served. Hope for the Homeless operates from a dedicated community space where individuals in need can access food and essentials. Additionally, we organise outreach activities in Manchester, where volunteers distribute food bags to those experiencing homelessness. We identify service users through direct outreach, community referrals, and local partnerships. Our main focus is on individuals experiencing homelessness or those in need of basic essentials such as food and clothing. We assess their needs through conversations and observations during our outreach and service provision activities to ensure we deliver appropriate support. - Free distribution of food and clothing to those in need   - Volunteer-led packing and distribution of food bags   - Outreach trips to Manchester to deliver food to homeless individuals   - A welcoming community space where anyone in need can come and receive a bag filled with food and essentials All services provided by Hope for the Homeless are free of charge. African Culture Network (ACN) delivers weekly African language and cultural classes supporting approximately 20 families, reaching 50–60 children and adults each week in Greater Manchester. Our sessions go beyond language learning. We create a safe, inclusive space where children build confidence, strengthen their identity, and develop a sense of belonging within British society. Parents connect, support one another, and build community resilience. Many of the families we support are navigating rising living costs, financial pressures, and the challenges of raising children between cultures. Access to surplus food donations would provide practical weekly relief, reduce food insecurity, and enable families to continue attending sessions without added financial strain. Food support would be distributed with dignity during our weekly classes, ensuring it reaches families already engaged in our community programme. By partnering with Neighbourly, we can combine cultural enrichment with tangible support , strengthening both well-being and household stability.
