How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Sanctus St Marks

United Kingdom, UK

We help support Refugees and asylum who are applying to stay in the UK. Sanctus St Mark's is a support group for refugees and people who are seeking asylum in the UK. We aim to walk alongside people who find their way to us, from all around the world, in a non judgemental and safe environment. Some of the people we support are completely destitute and have no means of providing their own food. We work with our local foodbank and do our best to make sure that no-one goes home hungry. Everyone in need goes home with a bag of supplies, providing fresh vegetables and fruit whenever possible.

The Co-Operative Academy Of Stoke On Trent

Stoke-on-Trent, UK

The Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent Community Fridge is opening in April 2023 and we'd love your support! The aim of the fridge is to fight food waste and support local people. It does this by collecting leftover food from businesses, then making it available to local residents and community groups. This includes individuals with limited access to affordable fresh and nutritious food. The Community Fridge will be housed on the academy grounds on Westport Road, ST6 4LD and accessible from the street, meaning all local residents will be able to access it. Strict monitoring guidelines based on advice from the Food Standards Agency and the Council’s Environmental Health team ensure the fridge operates to the highest quality standards. - A free service collecting food that would otherwise be thrown away, helping you become a zero waste business. - An opportunity for you to contribute positive social impact; supporting the local community, in particularly individuals who are in financial hardship. - The chance to be credited as a business champion in the Community Fridge’s promotional materials, online pages and press.
