Staff at Verve Place deliver activities and sessions to help improve its customers health, well-being and independent living skills. This food project will enable staff to use donated food items to deliver cooking sessions and educate young people about healthy diet. Food will also be given to young people when they experience a break in their claim resulting in them having no money for food.

Thousands of people across Warrington are struggling to feed their families and living in food poverty. 1 in 5 families that use our service are currently in employment and still struggling to make ends meet. Families are being forced to make impossible decisions between heating and eating. As the cost of living crisis bites deeper, our donations are decreasing as the number of people urgently needing to access our service is increasing exponentially. To plug this deficit in donations we are having to buy food in bulk to ensure that we can still meet the demand. This fund will ensure that we can survive the winter and continue to help our families in crisis.
