How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, HEINEKEN UK has donated money and volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Memory Lane Cafe & Carers Club

London, UK

We found that our community had little support for people suffering Alzheimer's, Dementia or Memory Loss. Myself and 5 other carers decided to open our own club in June 2015. To our surprise we now have over 100 members!!! We are so proud of what we have achieved in a very short space of time. We play games in the morning and every week we organize a paid entertainer to sing, we encourage everyone to join in and dance. For a small charge of £3.00 each we are able to provide tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes and snacks. We are now also able to provide a light lunch every week. We try to bring happiness and laughter not only to the service users but the carers who also needs support. We are a non profit self funding club and totally rely on kind donations and volunteers. We do request every one has to attend with a carer, friend or relative. We would appreciate any help that you could offer.

To ensure no one in our neighbourhood goes hungry. The ARC's dynamic food distribution network is dedicated to helping those in Islington struggling financially. Our care packages brim with nutritious staples, from fresh produce to wholefood ingredients. Thanks to partners like Gail's Bakery and Pophams, we've continuously expanded our offerings. How Your Business Can Make an Impact: - Donate Essential Foods: Support with basic and fresh food items to boost our community's health. - Financial Aid: Help us maintain consistent supplies with contributions towards bulk food purchases. - Supermarket Sweeps: Rally your team for a spirited challenge! Compete in a timed race to gather as much food and essentials for the food bank. It's team-building with a cause. - Gardening Days: Become a part of our mission for sustainability. Elimhouse Community Association Southwark

London, UK

Elimhouse Community Association is a leading day care organisation for the elderly based in Southwark, South East London. Formed in 1980, we have many years of experience providing day centre facilities for Caribbean elderly people in the area. Our organisation runs a full time day centre which creates leisure time actives and day time community care. Service users are mainly, but not exclusively Caribbean, African and other BME elderly people, who are over 60. An innovative organisation, we are committed to the principle of opportunity and participation equality to ensure the achievement of our purpose. Our aims at Elimhouse are to provide care and support, assess individual needs and promote the well being of service users, develop and create activities that engage service users. Where necessary, we also support carers to ensure we are making a real impact in our local community. One member recently told us: "I like the people I meet here. It was also very comforting attending the Centre during my bereavement for the loss of my dear husband." Another has said: "The transport of the centre makes my life easier and less burden for my family. I also like the lunchtime and the food is great."
