Lidl Warminster

We are a large volunteer based Charity operating across the Wiltshire area. Our volunteers use donated food to share with local families, individuals and organisations who are most in need. We are currently under pressure to meet the increasing need to help people who cannot afford food, whilst also experiencing a big decrease in the amount of food we receive due to less available food and many more people buying food from the reduced price sections. If you are a business with surplus food, would like to make a donation, volunteer or are in need of some food, please contact us.

Westbury operates its Community Fridge through Westbury Area Network which is entirely run by volunteers, and to help we would like for registered food businesses and retailers in the local area to help by donating fresh food within its use by date to the Community Fridge for people to take for free. This has been a real benefit to the people in the town and the surrounding villages.

Wylye Coyotes is so much more than out of school childcare! In the 10 years since becoming a Community Interest Company, we have extended the range of services we offer to include Coyote Cubs Toddler Group on Wednesdays from 9 - 11am, The Cafe in The Trees, a family friendly community cafe open on Mondays 12 noon - 2pm, and Tuesday Cafe where older village residents share a hot drink and delicious cake alongside friendship and support. We were set up to offer childcare so that parents could access employment and training, whereas now our focus is to offer employment and training to local people while delivering the services that a small rural community needs. Food is very much at the centre of everything that we do because we believe that access to high quality, nutritional meals is fundamental to the health of everyone from babies to pensioners. We run a project called #toastat10, where we provide wholesome toast at the mid morning break to all the children at the local primary school, to combat poor educational outcomes for children who have missed out on breakfast. We are currently refurbishing a red K8 telephone box, which will house a Community Larder and library of cookery and gardening books.
