How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Sid Valley Food Bank

Sidmouth, UK

Sid Valley Food Bank has been run by volunteers for nine years. Based in Sidmouth we cover the Sid Valle- Sidmouth, Sidford and Sidbury, Newton Poppleford and East Budleigh. Our objective is to support local people who find themselves in food poverty. We have food collection points locally and use cash donations to buy fresh food for our clients to add to the other groceries. We give hampers at Christmas and have also provided lunches during school holidays for children who normally get free school meals. As well as food, we also receive and give out personal hygiene and household cleaning items, nappies, etc when they are donated. We have our own small facility for storing, packing and distributing food.
