How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Remake: Cornwall

Saint Austell, UK

Remake: Cornwall is a repurpose and reuse organisation which is passionate about keeping food, textiles and furniture from landfill. For the past six months we have provided a daily community fridge facility supported by 13 volunteer drivers and fridge hosts to support over 150 families each week from across cornwall. Yesterday we distributed 21 meat hampers to families by collaborating with Isabel Rose Farm & coop stores. We don't request data or information , we do support needy families also, but the key is for the whose community to access food waste and so far not a single item we have received has gone to landfill. Please see our Facebook page Remake: Cornwall for more information, our fridge is hosted Monday - Saturday 10-10.30 as follows: Monday - Tanyas Courage Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Prosperity Hub Friday & Saturday - Tanyas Courage *** Prosperity Hub 86 Stennacks Lane, Holmbush, St Austell PL25 3JQ Tanyas Courage, Par Moor Road, Par PL24

KBSK CIC

Bodmin, UK

KBSK was founded in 2012 later becoming a CIC in 2018. Bodmin is known for being one of the most deprived areas in Cornwall with one of the highest crime rates. Our projects have become an open and accessible space, reaching in the hundreds of young people and children a week, working with families that are coming from financial and social deprivation, struggles with mental health and children with many complex and additional needs including children with Autism, ADHD and children who are deaf and partially sighted. We believe the preventative action in the services of KBSK is vital not only for our young people but for our community. Over the years KBSK has organically become a support mechanism for the local community . We support people in times of need with: food parcel deliveries, essential supplies, making referrals to drug and alcohol services, mental health support services, domestic violent help and support as well as rape and sexual assault helplines and delivering and supporting with crisis plans. As well as providing food parcels with surplus food we provide food/snacks for up to 250 children and young people a week during social dance classes, youth nights, and outreach to local council hub.
