With the levels of unemployment, along with the number of low-paid employees living in Brent, many residents find themselves at a crisis point. They are unable to feed their families and provide for life’s basic needs. There may, however, be many other challenges within the family, which may contribute to the family crisis. It is bearing this in mind that the Centre of Help and Hope was conceived. The Centre provides the following services: Food bank Clothing hub Befriending service Gardening services Counselling services Light domestic help Vocational skills Intentional parenting courses

We feed more than 250 homeless people every week, as well as catering for vulnerable families with children. We organise soup kitchen, drop-in centres, women and children club, pension club. We hope to widen our project by hosting a dementia club for the residents.

We are a small community centre based in Northolt, we usually provide activities for our elderly and vulnerable residents. These residents depend on our services to prevent them from being housebound and isolated. Since Covid-19 when our services were stopped we have come across residents in our community who are in desperate need of help with their day to day living, some of these residents do not have the basic necessities to support themselves. We have continued to help our residents with care packages, providing them with provisions to help them through this most difficult time. Some people are living without basics and we have managed to help with getting them things like basic cooking facilities, regular hot food and electrical items like TVs , microwaves, kettles, etc. We are all volunteers and we have found many elderly people are living sub standard lives due to isolation and loneliness. To continue with this support to our local resident and beyond we are asking for donations.
