M&S St Andrews

We run a Community Hub that support vulnerable members of our community around North East Fife and surrounding areas. We have a FREE Community Cafe that runs every Saturday at The Old Parish Centre. We also over FREE English classes for those wishing to learn English and adapt into our Community with support for higher education, employment and housing support. We also run a kids and craft group amongst the Community Cafe that supports intergenerational relationships. We also run an LGBTQ+ hub on the LAST Saturday of the month 5-7pm which offers a safe and social space free to make friends and find support. We also run a free café service for all at the LGBTQ hub event. On Wednesdays 4-6pm we offer a BSL group- Promoting and supporting British Sign Language in raising awareness and supporting those with communication barriers to support a more inclusive community. The North East Fife Community Hub (hereafter known as 'the company') is a non-profit distributing company and will operate within the boundaries of the parish of st andrews as defined by the local authority and shown attached in appendix 1. 2 the company's principle objects are; a) to enhance the quality of life for local residents by provision and management of recreation facilities and activities b) to promote, undertake, support and enable community development and regeneration c) the relief of those in need within the local area because of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage d) the advancement of health to further these objects, the company will seek; a) to conserve, improve and manage, for public benefit, community land, buildings and related assets in the operating area; b) to provide services within the local community which improve the condition and quality of life for local residents; c) to engage in consulting with the wider community to ascertain and address identified local aspiration, and; d) to do all such other things which further the objectives of the company and may be deemed to be charitable. e) to establish the co-location of support services available to the community at large. We aim to reduce food waste and it's associated negative impact on the environment by keeping good food in circulation and preventing it from ending up in landfill. We are also meeting community need through the provision of food and toiletries donated by supermarkets, shops and other local businesses.
