Our vision is a community where food is valued, not wasted. Our mission is to redistribute food and promote food waste reduction for environmental and social good. Since April 2016, we have collected good surplus food from supermarkets, manufacturers and farms and shared it with local charities and community groups, saving them money so they can do more. Our community partners support the homeless, the old, the vulnerable and those on low incomes. We also support community Foodshare Tables and Fridges where everyone is welcome to collect a few bags of food to help stop food waste and stretch household budgets. Any donation you can make will enable us to train new volunteers, pay for fuel for our charity van, buy in additional surplus from FareShare to supplement the food we collect to nourish our community. Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. We're working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. We promote and develop heart screening programmes and fund medical research. What's more, we publish and distribute medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public. CRY funds fast track referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals.

Shrewsbury Homes for All is a local registered Charity, established in 1993, working to ensure that people in the Shrewsbury area adequately housed. We offer free and confidential housing advice and information, and work alongside many other local groups concerned with the needs of the homeless. Are you in any of the following situations, as being homeless doesn’t just mean sleeping on the streets! • Temporarily staying with friends or family • Staying in a hostel or bed and breakfast • Living in very overcrowded conditions • At risk of violence or abuse in your home • Living in poor conditions that affect your health • Living somewhere that you have no legal right to stay in (e.g. a squat) • Living somewhere that you can’t afford to pay for without depriving yourself of basic essentials • Forced to live apart from your family or someone you would normally live with, because your accommodation isn’t suitable. Contact us to discuss your situation. 01743 231415 We can help you by:-. • Offering confidential housing advice and exploring options available to you. • Assisting with completion of forms to make sure you are claiming the correct benefits • Housing you with one of our own private landlords or referring you to local letting agents. • Providing a rent account scheme and advice on finding the first month’s rent in advance. • Providing a bond scheme if you do not have a deposit to put down on property. (Available if you are on a low income or receiving benefits and subject to eligibility and availability of funds) • Talking to landlords, letting agents and statutory bodies on your behalf • Assisting with the practicalities of setting up a home e.g. referrals to the Furniture Scheme, and setting up utility supplies • Offering ongoing support enabling you to develop the necessary skills to live independently in your home.
