At Carmarthen Foodbank, we work closely with over 50 support agencies in the local community. These agencies can issue a voucher to people and families in crisis which can then be exchanged for three days worth of nutritionally balanced food at our foodbank. We understand that anyone can reach crisis point and we're here to help when that happens. We offer important additional support alongside essential food parcels. We offer a listening ear and signposting where appropriate. Our Community Money Advice Team provides support and guidance for clients with financial challenges - specifically debt.

Here at Furnace Banc we provide a safe place for individuals to temporarily live which would otherwise be living in difficult situations. We specifically aim at improving people's lives and independence. We work as a team to provide local housing with care and support services. Offering a personalised service is one of our main goals, including mental health support, life guidance and practical assistance. At this project, we provide housing options with associated tenancy support to people who are looking to move into a home of their own. By offering a range of housing, this specific project offers sheltered rental options and giving the individuals a sense of ownership of their homes and services. To help the individuals move, the staff do daily healthy cooking exercises however we are struggling with equipment for their daily lives. The project is currently in need of assistance with food, to help the individuals have a balanced and healthy life, We are asking for a donation of fruit, veg and meat. In addition, baking ingredients would also be extremely beneficial. The project are also in need of some general household equipment such as pots and pans, cutlery, and basic plates. As we are currently housing 8 clients, daily activities would also be fun to receive such as games and books. This will give them confidence and enjoyment in their lives. By providing games, it will bring the opportunity to bring the house together to gain greater social skills as a community.

Relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial or other disadvantage in particular by the provision of grants or donation of items to individuals or to charitable organisation supporting those in need. To encourage and provide recycling opportunities to the public, businesses, statutory authorities and educational establishments.
