Start Up Stirling is a registered charity serving Stirling in Central Scotland. We assist and support families and individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship by providing home starter and wellbeing packs, as well as running food banks rural crisis food support across the Stirling area. We help those in need in the following ways: - provide basic home set-up items to local people who have been homeless and are starting again in a new tenancy. These packs improve the chances of individuals and families of retaining their tenancy - help to reduce stress and financial burdens when moving from homelessness to a new home - provide items which help with the transition into temporary accommodation - promote and encourage a practical community response to homelessness and financial hardship - provide food packs at point of crisis and offer support for three weeks for those who are unable to access other forms of support - support for those experiencing housing difficulties and finding it hard to cope - we help them settle into the community, offer a listening ear and link them with other helpful agencies - offer volunteering opportunities for individuals from all corners of our community We train our volunteers regarding confidentiality, boundaries and listening, and we provide ongoing support. All we ask is that you are willing to participate in the training, and be willing to listen, share, laugh and be a friend. :) We are always looking for volunteers and have a number of different roles - driving, warehouse, foodbanks, rural deliveries, support services, fundraising, office support and wee projects. In addition we always need additional manpower around the festive period.

Camphill Blair Drummond is a vibrant rural community providing residential care, meaningful activities and friendship for people with learning disabilities in a unique family setting. We believe everyone has something to offer and should have the opportunity to develop their potential. Our approach is underpinned by this belief and a recognition that we can all achieve our fullest potential when we feel safe, secure and participate in meaningful activities. One such activity we look forward to sharing with you, is the restoration and development of our 5 acre estate that surrounds Blair Drummond House. This includes a number of gardens and a small farm. Our estate and gardens are listed in The Inventory of Gardens & Designed Landscapes and our aim is to restore them back to their natural heritage state, creating sensory pathways and trails throughout the grounds that will be beneficial to the health and well being of our residents and day students. Camphill Blair Drummond is an amazing place and we hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to our community and joining us as we enhance our Gardens and estate for all to enjoy! Camphill Blair Drummond operates from Camphill Blair Drummond, Cuthil Brae, Blair Drummond, FK94UT. We offer a residential and day service for adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs. Our Service Users are placed with us through local authorities to provide their care & support. Local authorities pay for the placement of residents and students.

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research. We have Dementia Resource Centres in 21 different locations across Scotland. Those centres provide a safe and friendly environment for people with dementia and their carers to visit and take part in a wide variety of activity groups. We are very proud of our 24 hour Freephone Dementia Helpline which provides information and emotional support to people with dementia, carers, families, friends and professionals. There is a network of Dementia Advisors employed by Alzheimer Scotland who work in local communities to support people with a diagnosis by giving advice and information. We have over 9,000 members, over 90,000 Dementia Friends and we are supported by over 1,000 volunteers. We employ around 550 full and part-time staff, mainly in our service-provision projects across Scotland.
