We are Diamond Hampers, we are dedicated to supporting and helping the most vulnerable in society. We provide food aid to vulnerable families and individuals across Cambridgeshire by supplying food parcels filled with enough to provide meals for a whole week. We support local hostels by supplying them with trays of fresh food items and products ideal for those sleeping on our streets. We support rough sleepers by supplying them with hot meals, snacks, warm clothing, bedding and by helping them to seek the support they need from the relevant services. We provide toys, books, clothing, toiletries and even help to source second hand furniture for those families and individuals that are living in poverty. We support young care leavers and newly housed rough sleepers by providing them with start-up kits to help them at the beginning of their new journey. We supply lots of goodies regularly to various care homes and temporary living facilities across the county and regularly send out “top up bags” and “care packages” for struggling families. Our ethos is to redirect as much food waste as possible but also around the sustainability of people and their families. With this in mind, we make referrals with and for the beneficiaries. We help them to develop longer term solutions to enable them to better sustain their own lives. We promote independence and bridge dignity gaps by providing places and spaces for affordable shopping and access to the essentials in life.

Parents of disabled children are often thrust into this new, scary and complicated world with no advice, knowledge or training. Without the right support, the time creating precious family memories loses out to the stresses of everyday life and not knowing what the future holds. Little Miracles is ran by parents, for parents, and we aim to offer what we wish we had during testing times - a shoulder to cry on, pointers in the right direction and people to relate to and socialise with - as well as celebrate the small milestones that mean the world. We offer daily activities from our purpose-built play centre, The Spinney. Our centre was built in September 2013 by the BBC's Children in Need and DIYSOS following a massive outpouring of public support for our cause. In addition to daily activities, we employ specialists that provide their services at no cost to our families (as with all the work that we do) - a family support worker, sensory support worker and counsellors. The services we offer include: Recreational and educational activities for young people Comprehensive benefits assessments (and help completing paperwork) Advocacy Counselling and bereavement counselling Low-cost holidays - Caravan of Miracles Courses/workshops from qualified tutors Early intervention services

The Gamlingay Food Project exists to reduce food waste as well as feed those who are in need. The Gamlingay Food Project has two strands: The Community Fridge: Here, we take food waste from local shops (Co-Op, M&S, NISA, Sainsbury's, and others) and we provide them for free to anyone who would like, in order to reduce food wasted. The Community Fridge is open Monday-Friday. The Need Project Hub(Gamlingay): Run in partnership with the Need Project in Bedfordshire, we provide food parcels for all those in need who are referred (or self referred to us). For this, we take donations of non-perishable goods, and distribute to households across our area. The Gamlingay Food Project is a partnership betwen Gamlingay Baptist Church and St Mary the Virgin Church in Gamlingay. It is run entirely by community volunteers from all walks of life.
