Sufra is a charity in North West London that prevents hunger, fights poverty and builds community. With the help of our volunteers and partners, we coordinate a network of food banks, kitchens, a community shop and café. These act as a gateway for guests to access more holistic support – including welfare advice, asylum support and our award-winning community garden. We aim to work with our guests to find solutions to their challenges together, whilst campaigning against the causes of hunger and poverty.

EACH is a local charity and we are asking for the support of local people to make our communities safer and more inclusive for all. We are aiming to fund raise a total of £7,200 to support 4 local people to go through our recovery programme in the community - the Create Wellness Programme, which runs over 12 weeks, providing confidential counselling, group support and personal development. Due to the significant cuts to local charity groups, last year EACH created a social enterprise to continue to be able to provide help to local people in need. This means that our clients now pay to access our support to help them recover from drugs and alcohol problems. However, there are many other people in need who cannot afford to pay for these services. This is why EACH needs you to support our bursary fund! We believe that everyone has the potential to change and the right to rebuild their lives, and we provide support in multiple languages so people from all communities can be helped. Last year we supported 2,882 people to make positive changes in their lives. EACH has been based in West London since 1991, supporting individuals and families from diverse communities to recover from the impact of drugs and alcohol.

Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster works to support recovery from Mental Health distress in a way that builds resilience and independence. Brent Mind is the leading independent mental health organisation in the borough, which has been helping residents for over 40 years, our work is driven by the needs and experiences of people with mental distress. We provide information and support, and we campaign and fundraise to educate, inform, influence, reduce stigma, improve policy and attitudes, and in collaboration with other local service providers develop appropriate, and innovative local services that make a measurable difference. We are an independent registered charity and company limited by guarantee, and we are affiliated to Mind, the national charity for mental health.
