How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Marks & Spencer has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Powis Community Centre Association

Aberdeen, UK

Our purpose is to promote community togetherness and personal fulfilment by providing a safe and welcoming environment where people can meet and participate in social and physical activities; support groups; volunteering and learning, all with the aim of enhancing overall quality of life. Our activities range from children's clubs and groups to adult learning and wellbeing classes. We have an onsite gym and run a community cafe which serves a range of groups in the community. During Covid-19 we have specialised in delivering a free surplus food table to support the needs of the local community and are now turning these efforts in to our green bid to prevent surplus food waste going to landfill.
