We are a not-for-profit group supported by East Hampshire Community Rail Partnership. Our mission is to save food from going to waste and offer it to the local community. We have a team of volunteers who, six days a week, collect food from the local supermarkets. We also have volunteers who work in the shop and run the sessions when we open to the public. On average we have over 200 customers pass through the shop. In addition, we occasionally receive produce from other outlets and from individuals who have a surplus in their allotments or gardens. From time to time people give us long-life food when they move house or clear out their kitchen cupboards. We do not ask for any money for the produce but donations from customers help us to cover our running costs.

COMMUNITY CHILDCARE CENTRES (Growing Places) have been providers of not-for-profit childcare for over 20 years in Havant and Fareham Boroughs; we invest in our facilities, staff and resources and are committed to ensuring the highest quality of care and education for your child. As a charitable company Growing Places operates a variety of childcare centres around Havant and Fareham Boroughs caring for children aged from 6 months to 11 years. Well trained, highly motivated and committed staff ensure that all our children are provided with a safe, secure, warm, stimulating play and learning environment. Growing Places community department run family cookery workshops, introduction to and exploration of a verity of fruit and vegetables and how they contribute to health and wellbeing. Cook and eat workshops where we show families and the community how to make healthy low cost meal on a budget. Our community pantry is a lifeline to our community in providing a helping hand to others, and saving good food going to landfill. Alongside our soon to be community garden starting 2022! A place where you can grow, learn and be a peace together whilst feeding the community.

Café 1759 is a café with a difference – we’re a not for profit community café. We want to be at the heart of your community and offer activities for people to get involved in. Encouraging people to get active in activities such as the Bordon Inclosure, dog walking and meeting groups. We want to give employment support to local people, we're planning ‘Food Academies’ cooking school for kids, older men and other groups. We hold a veterans breakfast twice monthly offering support to former members of the Armed Forces We also provide volunteering opportunities, giving local people the opportunity to learn new skills, develop, access training, meet people and generally be part of our lovely team.
