We provide support for young people within the community offering a range of activities including sports, crafts and cooking. We ask for a small fee to enter and provide all activities and ingredients free for young people to ensures it's inclusive to all. With the cost of living crisis, some young people don't always have the opportunities to learn to cook family meals so any support we can give them is greatly appreciated.

The Beacon Project supports the local homeless & vulnerably housed adults in Mansfield. We are a voluntary organisation and are entirely reliant on donations, grants and gifts of food, and have been running for over 20 years. Our clients need help & support due to social deprivation – we meet them where they are at, in the moment, & endeavour to move them on when they are ready & able. Many have mental health & addiction issues. Many also have health issues related to long term substance misuse & living on the street. A large proportion are also ex-offenders & veterans often with PTSD etc, all of which means they are often very isolated, & living quite dysfunctional lives. We provide a range of services including signposting, help, advice & support to enhance physical, social, emotional & spiritual wellbeing. We are a safe space where: • Each person feels valued and cared for, & recognised as an individual not just a number • We provide food for the hungry – hot meals twice a week & food parcels on a Friday. • We give access to showers, laundry & clean clothes, sleeping bags & tents as needed, especially for the homeless • Relationships are built based on trust by listening to their needs & then advocating to outside agencies where necessary including those related to housing, addictions, health & well-being, debt & money management, benefits, and gaining settled status. • We aim to raise self-esteem in order to promote change in their lives, enabling them to function as members of society & reconnect with their families (where possible).

Team Foodshare Rainworth, Blidworth and Surrounding areas was set up in 2017 by the Registered Charity The Social Action Hub in response to the growing need to support local communities who are suffering from food insecurity AND to tackle the ever growing food waste that is both frustrating and needless. Anyone can be a member! You can help us tackle the food waste by collecting perishable items from us, such as bread, fruit and vegetables, that are on or near their use by or best before date. Or you might find this weeks bills are making the budgeting tight and popping in will reduce the budget burden. We are open: Monday & Thursday 10am - 2pm Wednesday 12pm-3pm & 4pm-7pm Our service is not means tested, you do not have to be in receipt of benefits, we don’t need proof of income - We are open to all. - Shops & Local People donate items to our Social Supermarket they no longer need or are able to stock on their shelves. We also purchase surplus food at a reduced cost. Our baskets cost just £4.50 or £6 - depending on which one you choose. ALL food from Neighbourly donations are a part of our FREE section at The Social Supermarket as well as our Youth Community Fridge for Children & Young People.
