Life Changing International Ministry

London, UK

Life changing international Ministry is a church . Our motto is to change life through the teachings of Jesus Christ and by leading by example . Every week people from all works of life meeting to worship praise and learn the scriptures .. Due to incredible economic pressures We recently started a foodbank for our congregation . We have being inspected by Lewisham Council and we have a 4 STAR Rating . We now want to expand to cover our community . Hence this application . We currently do foodbank a on Tuesdays Fridays and Sundays . 1. Currently, the food that we receive from retailers (Asda, Waitrose, KFC, and Tesco via Fareshare and Felix project) are only distributed to the church members. But our plan eventually is to also distribute food to the people in and around Lewisham borough. 2. Once people enter the ministry (with their permission,) we collect data such as name, contact details, age and employment status 3. We prioritise food for church members who are (a) unemployed (b) on low income, and the elderly.  4. In addition to ordering food support, we also offer free spiritual counselling to church members. - we do not charge for our services 5. We do not currently collect surplus food from any other retailers 6. At the moment our services are not advertised in the local community, but we plan to do so, once we have extended our services to the local community. 7. Photographs showing the food we redistribute can be accessed on the church Facebook and website - (Please kindly note that our church Facebook and church website are now being updated to show our food bank redistribution.)

This is more than food and is part of a supportive services platform to help people get sustained in their own individual way. With up to 94% success rate and seeing once those receiving free Looprun response bags to returning to stores as shoppers with baskets full. These are the impact stories created when all come together to do good for good. Service users are signposted to Looprun mostly from referrals including professionals in social and healthcare. Looprun provides free non perishables, perishable food, toiletries, and brand new clothing to people facing a temporary challenge. Whatever supermarkets, stores, and retailers can do is turned into a grateful donation to a neighbour in need. This is a response to real people in real-time. No food is banked providing a direct in and out service. We believe if the food is stored then a person in need is not getting any food, hence we provide an instant response and instant impact service. Looprun has access to professional volunteers who carry out a confidential support service to people in need. From homeless shelters, hostels, sheltered housing, care homes, soup kitchens and schools. This is a non voucher, free and confidential service. This means Looprun can reach more people in need with food donations. Anyone that receives a Looprun bag of essential food items is sustained thus creating a loop cycle. All are invited to become part of these sustainable stories in your local community. RMUK Food and Wellbeing

London, UK

LONELINESS, ISOLATION AND HUNGER HAVE NO POST-CODE BOUNDARIES! RMUK Food and Well-being First, deliver emergency food support to extremely vulnerable and at-risk households in Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark. We deliver fresh fruits vegetables, culturally appropriate foods to African and Caribbean households and the wider community. We then follow up individual requests for support by offering a listening ear, signposting to the right local organization, or source items that are needed. We are a friendly socially distanced, befriending service and offer care and kindness to those who are lonely, isolated, and just want a short conversation. Before COVID 19, we organized family fun days, educational exhibitions, film nights, trips out, cooking, and various educational workshops. We have moved most of these to online for now and people having a great time meeting new friends, socializing, and feeling more engaged. https://gofund.me/2052e97b During this Covid pandemic, some food prices increased, and this has put a strain on members of our community and those who care for other family members. There are several groups of people who are at a greater risk of vitamin D deficiency during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Our volunteers are magnificent! Each week they lovingly compile and then deliver groceries, toiletries, books, toys, and flowers to our service users. PLEASE HELP US TO SUPPORT OUR HOUSEHOLDS who have been struggling to get healthy nutritious food AND support for themselves.. https://www.facebook.com/RMUKWellbeing
