How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Marks & Spencer has donated surplus food and money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Falkirk Foodbank

Falkirk, UK

We deliver a 7 day food parcel and hygiene products to people facing a financial or personnel crisis. The foodbank works on a referral system, working with local government agencies, social services, NHS, Citizen's Advice, Doctors and health workers, plus various addiction, debt and housing agencies. We provide a home delivery service, by doing so we are able to cover all areas of the Falkirk District. By delivering to people's homes not only helps to reduce stigma. It also means we can deliver larger food parcels along with Toiletries, Nappies, Baby Food and Pet Food. With the aim of making it look like a Supermarket delivery. When required, we also supply, new children's beds, new warm bedding, plus cooking items and basic household items. By working with local food producers, we are also able to help with food redistribution to other local charities. We need volunteers to help with deliveries and food sorting, making up food boxes, assisting with running activities during those mornings where we host school visits, and anyone with online and web skills who can assist with our site migration and upgrade.

Strathcarron Hospice

Denny, UK

Every year, we provide care and support to over 1,400 local people with a life-limiting illness or condition, at a time when both they and their family need it most. Our philosophy is about living life to the fullest until you die and we ensure people have every opportunity to achieve their goals right up until the last moment. Strathcarron is an independent hospice and all of our care is provided free of charge. Our services include a 24-bed inpatient ward, Hospice@Home, Community Nurse Specialists and Lymphoedema unit, and we need to raise £19,452 every day to keep these running.

Step Up - Housing, Employability & Community Support Services

Falkirk, UK

Step Up is registered with the Care Inspectorate (Provider number SP2013012130) to provide both Housing Support and Care at Home for people aged 16 and over living in their own homes. This may include young people who are vulnerable, looked after or formerly looked after by local authorities, care leavers and those at risk of homelessness. Some examples of supporting young people to manage the transition to independence include: Support with maintaining their accommodation and developing the independent living skills to achieve and maintain their tenancy. Securing work, education or training and the skills required to achieve this. Promoting positive social relationships and active participation in the community via involvement in health recreational activities. Financial management and budgeting skills. Self-care skills. Emotional, sexual, physical and mental health/wellbeing. We believe successful transition to more independent, adult living for young people depend on on-going, effective and consistent support. We also believe positive outcomes for young people depend on the provision of good quality services that promote the utmost standards of best practice.
