Lamh Failte helping the homeless, is a non-profit organisation founded and set up in Dublin in 2020. We help homeless people by providing a food and clothing stall on North Earl Street, here in Dublin City. We hand out hot homemade tasty dishes, cold dishes, hot fluids, clothing items, sleeping bags, toiletries, snacks, portions of fruit, and we also give out takeaway dishes, every Saturday evening. Our group is ran by volunteers and there are about 20 to 25 of us at any given time. All of our volunteers source and cook the donations in their own homes, then we meet up on North Earl Street every Saturday from 7.15 pm to around 9:30 pm. We rely heavily on donations from the public and local business. We are not a registered charity and cannot accept cash donations.

Our vision at Peter McVerry Trust is an Ireland that supports all those on the margins and upholds their rights to full inclusion in society. As a homeless and housing charity, our aims are: - To target those most marginalised in society and offer a safe, challenging and supportive environment through our service provision. - To treat participants with warmth and respect and actively encourage them to be involved in all aspects of their own support plan. - To offer a comprehensive prevention package of support to reduce the likelihood of homelessness to those leaving care, those leaving treatment, those leaving prison or other institutions and those whose accommodation is vulnerable. - To offer a comprehensive package of support that will provide the best opportunity possible for them and assist them in planning a pathway out of homelessness or drug use, or if they continue to use drugs, to assist them towards some level of stabilisation in order to live a life of dignity, with respect and opportunity. - To assist each person to re-establish himself or herself in the community and move towards greater independence. Peter McVerry Trust provides services in the areas of prevention, homeless services, housing, under 18's and drug treatment services- and are an approved housing body, We have placed over 200 people in their own homes to date, with an objective of 450 housing units by 2020. In line with our housing-led approach to ending homelessness, the provision of support to people - both in our accommodation services and those who have moved to independent living - is a key component in ensuring a long term, sustainable solution to homelessness. The support services range across intensive housing supports, visiting housing supports, and through the SLI (Support to Live Independently) Scheme that Peter McVerry Trust delivers under the Housing First initiative. The Housing First model focuses on the immediate provision of long term/permanent accommodation for those that a homeless with supports and services subsequently built around the needs of each individual. The Housing with Support service provides 1 to 1 visits as well as an on-call service that operates around the clock for 365 days of the year. In 2016, Peter McVerry Trust's Housing with Supports team made a total of 12,500 visits. Peter McVerry Trust employ a team of Housing Officers to assist and support our participants in developing life skills, building confidence and working towards independent living and social integration. Within our housing services, the wrap around supports are crucial in providing support in areas ranging from loneliness and integration within a new community, to mental health, addiction or personal care needs. Support is provided to an individual for as long as they need it, to ensure they can retain their tenancies and integrate in to their community.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. Our vision is an Ireland where no one goes through dementia alone and where policies and services respond appropriately to the person with dementia and their carers, at the times they need support. A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of the person with dementia and their carer at its core.
