How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Marks & Spencer has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Pencaerau Primary School. Parents and Pupils Food and Fun.

Cardiff, UK

We are a school in Caerau/Ely who are in a deprived area of the city. Half of our pupils are entitled to free school meals. I believe we can help provide for our families using whatever we have been donated. Most of our families are struggling at the moment and we can make a huge difference in their lives. We support our pupils as much as we can by giving them advice and signpost them to the correct support services. In the future we are hoping to have a foodshare type of container where we can assist our families further. Our families our are also very accomadating to new ideas which I think would also benefit them if there was different ingredients I am sure they could swap recipes etc!

The Trinity Caerphilly

Cardiff, UK

At The Trinity, we are dedicated to tackling food waste, strengthening community bonds, and providing essential support to those in need. Our mission is simple: to rescue surplus food from local businesses and redistribute it to families and individuals who can benefit from it. By reducing food waste, we help alleviate hunger while fostering a spirit of togetherness and care within our community. Our enterprise operates on the belief that no one should go without food, and no edible food should go to waste. Through partnerships with local businesses and communities, The Trinity is creating a sustainable solution to food waste to help build a stronger, more connected community. We believe in local food surplus to help local people.
