We are aiming to make sure that people can come in and eat at least two meals a day. We have an experienced cook who works with a team of volunteers to produce nutritious meals from food donations. We also run a project called Purfleet Pantry where people can join our membership club to be part of a scheme giving them access to cooking lessons, health and nutrition sessions and weekly grocery parcels. We are aiming to eradicate food poverty amongst our clients and the wider community and to provide coaching around nutrition, health and well-being.

Norwich Homeless Support offers a number of services to the homeless in Norwich and the local community. Services we provide: Outreach to the homeless three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in norwich city centre handing out essential items like tents, sleeping bags, sandwiches, clothing etc. Community Food Bank We run a food bank from our base in Hellesdon every Thursday and also deliver food parcels to those in the community needing a bit of help who are disabled or can't get out for any reason. Dereham Community Fridge has been launched to give local businesses and individuals a way to donate food that is passed its ‘best by’, but within its ‘use by’ date, that would otherwise be thrown away. Anyone who would like to use the food can come and take items from the fridge for free. There's no paperwork, appointments or referrals. Just come during our weekday opening times of 10am -1pm. Please note doors open at 9.30am to queue and get a free hot drink. The main aims of Dereham Community Fridge are twofold: to reduce food waste and to get surplus food into the hands of those who can use it.
