This page allows Volunteers within Feed the Homeless Bristol to provide information on their availability to "Walk" on a particular night that the charity operates. The charity operates around central Bristol feeding the homeless people who look to our support for a hot meal, produce, fruit, snacks and a hot or cold drink. It allows the walkers to see fellow volunteers and what equipment may be needed that evening. Once a desired amount of volunteers has been reached, you may be added to the "reserve list" and if willing, contacted should circumstances change and someone has to drop out. Our vision is a community where food is valued, not wasted. Our mission is to redistribute food and promote food waste reduction for environmental and social good. Since April 2016, we have collected good surplus food from supermarkets, manufacturers and farms and shared it with local charities and community groups, saving them money so they can do more. Our community partners support the homeless, the old, the vulnerable and those on low incomes. We also support community Foodshare Tables and Fridges where everyone is welcome to collect a few bags of food to help stop food waste and stretch household budgets. Any donation you can make will enable us to train new volunteers, pay for fuel for our charity van, buy in additional surplus from FareShare to supplement the food we collect to nourish our community. We are a large volunteer based Charity operating across the Wiltshire area. Our volunteers use donated food to share with local families, individuals and organisations who are most in need. We are currently under pressure to meet the increasing need to help people who cannot afford food, whilst also experiencing a big decrease in the amount of food we receive due to less available food and many more people buying food from the reduced price sections.
