The Dwaynamics Community Centre’s Nourishment Hub is more than a food project it is a lifeline, a warm table, and a doorway to dignity for families and individuals navigating hardship in Lambeth and the surrounding areas. Rooted in the legacy of Dwayne Simpson and guided by the leadership of Pastor Lorraine Jones Burrell MBE, the Hub embodies a simple but radical idea: when people are loved, welcomed, and well-fed, they can start to heal, stabilise, and thrive. From its earliest days, the Nourishment Hub has been a place where nourishment is holistic—body, mind, and spirit served with compassion, consistency, and community pride. The Hub was born from lived experience. After the tragic loss of her son Dwayne to knife crime, Pastor Lorraine channelled her grief into purpose, founding the Dwayne Simpson Foundation and building Dwaynamics into a beacon for youth development, family support, and community resilience. Food quickly emerged as a unifying language a way to meet urgent needs while building trust. In a borough shaped by both rich cultural heritage and deep inequalities, the costs of housing, health challenges, and the realities of poverty often collide. The Nourishment Hub responds by offering hot, nutritious meals, culturally familiar ingredients, and ready-to-heat dishes that respect the diverse communities it serves. But it also offers what many services do not: time to listen, space to be seen, and practical pathways forward. A typical session at the Nourishment Hub is alive with conversation and care. Volunteers greet guests by name. Children tuck into balanced meals while older residents are offered tea, a seat, and company. People can take away groceries that reflect choice and dignity not leftovers, but quality foods selected with families in mind. For those who are street homeless, sofa-surfing, or in temporary accommodation, the Hub provides ready-cooked meals and light-touch support that acknowledges complex realities like addiction, trauma, and poor health. The approach is trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and intentionally warm. As one guest put it, “Dwaynamics makes me feel happier and hopeful” a testament to the healing power of hospitality and consistency. Beyond the plate, the Hub functions as a bridge to wider help. Staff and trained volunteers offer gentle signposting and introductions to local services: GP registrations, diabetes and nutritional advice, welfare rights and housing guidance, safeguarding support for families, and connections to training and employment opportunities. Partner drop-ins from health teams, schools, and community policing are invited to meet residents on their terms, in a familiar, non-intimidating space. This fabric of collaboration reflects Dwaynamics’ broader mission: to reduce harm, build trust, and strengthen neighbourhood safety through everyday relationship-building. The bright morning star prisons and homelessness outreach is an award winning, non for profit organisation that has been service Londoners since 2015, Our aims and objectives is the relief and prevention poverty and homelessness across London. The organisation is doing this by running community outreach, Day centre's, coffee morning and Prisons visits to His Majesty Prisons across London. The Bright Morning Star Prisons And Homelessness Outreach head office is Chartharm Court community hall, Canterbury crescent Brixton SW9 7PT. The Day Centre is 1 Opal Street Peddlar Acre Community hall, Kennighton SE11 4HZ Although the organization in base in Lambeth but we Outreach to Homeless, rough sleepers and Prisons inmates in Southwark, Wandsworth, Croydon, West Minister Councils. and Stratford. Our organisation is a first point contact for ex offenders, rough sleepers and the homeless to get support for reintegration after they left prison. We run 5 days a week with the help of our dedicated volunteers, management and staff. The bms activities include coffee morning, food sharing community food service, , food pick up and distribution, prison visit, outreaches, housing advice, benefit advice, sign posting, trainings. art and craft, one to one counselling service and mediating between landlord and tenants. We support, elevate and help to rebuild the lives of the the most vulnerable people in London eg older people, job seekers, those on low income, Assylum seekers, refuges and the homeless people etc. The BMS is a Registered Contractor to Lambeth Council and community hall that we are using in Chartham court belong to the Council that has seen the good work that we do and offer us the space to use. we use the hall 7 days a week for the past 2 years. The Council refurbished the hall and launching was done in August 2025. We continue to partners with Job Centres that attend day centre in Kennington, Streatham and Kennington Job Centre twice a Month, Hygiene Bank, Greggs food Foundation cooperative stores, Pret A Manger Look Ahead homeless shelter, Stockwell probation services, Wandsworth Probation, and healthy living platform Lambeth, Felix Project and Fares hare, St Mathew Estate, Mursel hall, Cooperative store etc

Our vision is to continue to develop the Helping Hand Community project and build it into a truly community group where everyone can be involved and make a difference. All funds will be reinvested into the project, enabling fundraising events to be held and mobile food banks to be set up in various areas.  We have built strong relationships with a variety of organisations, community groups and local hostels and shelters to ensure surplus food goes to the people in most need. Officially formed in 2023, we have been serving the community since 2018. Over the years, we have built relationships and work with fantastic organisations to help those who need it the most.
