How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, PGL Beyond has donated volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Carriers Of Hope, Coventry

Coventry, UK

Carriers of Hope have teamed up with St. Marks Church and Youth With A Mission (YWAM) to establish a WorldFoods Food Hub. Operating weekly, our aim is to provide culturally relevant food to members and their families. For just £5, individuals who meet the criteria for membership (Refugee, Migrant or Asylum Seeker resident in the CV1 area requiring help towards food costs) can choose a basket of groceries with a retail value of approximately £30. The groceries include Halal meat, fresh bread and a selection of fruit and vegetables – the selection changes weekly and is dependent upon availability.

Dalgarno Trust Foodbank

London, UK

The Dalgarno food bank is a weekly food distribution service providing both perishable and non-perishable foods for the local community. The service is free, but clients are asked to make a small donation for what they receive. Every small amount contributes to the successful running of the service. The food bank is for anyone who may be unemployed, receiving low income, or are struggling to cope with household bills. However, people need not restrict themselves to these reasons to use the food bank. If you would like to give food or any other donations to our food bank - donations are always well received and appreciated. Key details about the service are as follow: Tickets are given out in the reception area of the centre from 10am. The food bank distribution starts at 2pm. To keep the service Covid secure, food bank users do not enter the building, but volunteers bag up the food they have requested. Most people leave the food bank with two full plastic bags. PGL Beyond Volunteering - Enriching young lives

We believe that volunteering is a key way that our colleagues can get involved in our Better Beyond Adventure by spending time as a team or individually to make a difference to good causes close to where they work. Each year colleagues across the business are encouraged to use their annual allocation of in-work-volunteer time to support causes in the local community. Our only ask is that these causes focus on initiatives for children and young people of school age ensuring we are enriching more young lives every day.
