We support members of our community who are facing multiple challenges with the vision of improving their mental health and well-being making them strong together as a community through a weekly session where we Signposts, counseling, having a group support, workshops and training sessions for health and well-being. We will kindly appreciate any support to alleviate the stress on our community members and help them build their self confidence and great social connections, encourage them to have a healthy lifestyle and be more happier. At Community Support Centre , We collect surplus food from local businesses and redistribute it to people facing food insecurity in our community, we work with shelters, food banks and community centers to ensure the food reaches those who need it most. Our goal is to reduce food waste while providing nutritious meals to individuals and families, helping to alleviate hunger and improve the overall wellbeing of those we support.

We started the soup kitchen four years ago serving soup from the back of a car outside Rochdale town hall one night a week. Within nine months we had enough volunteers to do this four nights a week and Saturday lunchtimes. We now have our own premises behind Champness Hall in Rochdale, from which we now aim to open a drop in centre seven days a week, serving lunches, soup kitchen in the evenings, providing hot showers, washing machine and drier, computers for applying for jobs and courses and medical services and counselling.

We are now feeding over 1000 people per month many struggling to buy food. This in turn stops many from shop lifting and helps those who desperately need help. We operate on a referral basis from various agencies including the Council, Police, Homestart, Housing Associations, Job Centre, local churches and local Community Groups. Our clients are usually homeless, jobless, elderly, infirm, low income workers and those in temporary financial difficulties. We supply our clients with a good variety of food which also includes frozen and fresh food. We have now moved to B6 7QA about 5 mins away. We were on GMTV plus central TV Gmtv have been to our foodbank twice and seen the work we are doing win helping to provide food parcels to those in need.
