Corporate Volunteer Days are a wilder way to make a difference right here in Bristol. They are based at our Wild Place Project to help in its charitable conservation and education activities and continued development. The Volunteer Days are a great opportunity for teams to reap the benefits of working together to complete tasks, whilst being outdoors away from normal routine. Get stuck in and help us build a woodland education area! We can accommodate groups of most sizes and aim to meet your needs where we can. Butterflies Haven need help to paint their sensory room. They have recently moved and the room that they will be using for their sensory area is in desperate need of a re-fresh – worse than they expected. They were hoping to redecorate in the spring/summer but the group are concerned about the impact on the children as they have recently moved and settling in to a new environment will be very disruptive. To minimise this they want to make sure the space feels secure and like home. Butterflies Haven is a local charity that supports families who have children on the autistic spectrum. As a voluntarily run organisation it has been created to provide a 'soft place to fall' for all family members who are affected by the experience of the Autistic Spectrum. Of equal importance is our aim to raise awareness about the complex related challenges throughout our local communities and main stream services. Butterflies effectively provides on-going support for parents of children and teenagers who are affected by the Autistic Spectrum or any developmental delay, whether diagnosed or not. Butterflies is a caring community of families and we are constantly creating fresh ideas that offer support and social opportunities for both the child/teenager and the parents/carers.
