The Together Centre
Dukinfield, UK
The Together Centre was founded in 2017 as a constitution, our main location is in Dukinfield, Tameside, Greater Manchester. Our beneficiaries include disabled people, poor mobility, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, SEN children, have a mental health diagnosis and/or struggling financially through the economic crisis, isolated or lonely following bereavement. The Together Centre provides well-being activities and support services for local individuals and families within a thriving and fully accessible Community Hub. Our ambition is to support and encourage positive outcomes whilst demonstrating inclusive and equal participation. We provide the opportunity to explore new interests by taking part in a range of inclusive activities. Whether it’s a local walk, armchair dancing, bingo, crafts, knitting, or a game of pool. We develop friendships by learning new and everlasting skills. We help families to be sustainable by sharing our knowledge on ‘growing fruit and vegetables’ in our flourishing allotment. Our support services are our Food Pantry that is run twice weekly and Charity Shop offering very low priced second hand and new clothes, household items, etc. We run a 12 week DIY programme, 3 times a year for women that have/or are suffering domestic violence. We also deliver 55 meals weekly to those unable to leave their homes due to their wellbeing.
