Fulcrum Recovery Project C.I.C.

Coventry, UK

The Beacon is a Coventry-based supported housing and addiction recovery organisation helping adults overcome drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness, and social exclusion. Through supported accommodation, rehabilitation programmes, recovery support, life skills training, and pathways into independent living, we help people rebuild their lives and achieve long-term recovery. The Beacon is the trading name of Fulcrum Recovery Project CIC, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company operating across Coventry and the West Midlands. We provide supported housing and rehabilitation services for adults affected by substance misuse, alcohol dependency, homelessness, poor mental health, offending behaviour, and multiple disadvantage. Many of the people we support have experienced years of addiction, unstable housing, unemployment, family breakdown, trauma, and social isolation. Our approach is recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and person-centred. We believe recovery is about more than simply stopping drugs or alcohol; it is about helping people rebuild every area of their lives. We support residents to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, develop life skills, strengthen relationships, gain confidence, access education and employment opportunities, and successfully transition into independent living. Our supported accommodation provides a safe, stable environment where residents receive structured support, personalised recovery planning, one-to-one sessions, peer support, group activities, and practical assistance with everyday living. We also work closely with local authorities, treatment providers, probation services, healthcare professionals, employers, and community organisations to ensure people receive the support they need. Alongside housing support, we provide opportunities for fitness, wellbeing activities, volunteering, digital inclusion, employability support, community engagement, and healthy living. We aim to reduce homelessness, prevent relapse, improve health outcomes, reduce reoffending, and help individuals become active and positive members of their communities. We welcome support from local businesses, charities, and community groups. Our greatest need is access to surplus food, helping residents maintain healthy diets while learning budgeting and independent living skills. We also welcome donations of household essentials, toiletries, cleaning products, bedding, furniture, clothing, digital devices, and educational resources. We are always interested in hearing from volunteers who can offer mentoring, training, workshops, employability support, wellbeing activities, practical skills, fundraising assistance, or community projects. Every donation and partnership helps create opportunities for people to move beyond addiction, rebuild their confidence, secure stable housing, and achieve lasting recovery.
