How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Lochend Community High School

Glasgow, UK

In Glasgow North East , food banks in the Trussell Trust community distributed 1,594 food parcels to people facing hardships between April 2024 and March 2025, 607 of these parcels were for children. Within our school community 91% of our young people live in SIMD quintile 1, with 66% of our young people accessing free school meals. To support our young people we would like to set up our own in school food bank. Providing them with access to food items for home. We aim to reduce food insecurity amongst our young people. Data from the Glasgow City Schools survey (2020) shows that over a quarter of children and young people in S1 to S6 reported going to bed hungry, at least sometimes.
