Together In Westminster Community is a community-led organisation dedicated to empowering families, women, and young people through cultural, educational, and wellbeing programmes. We provide a safe, inclusive space for learning, support, and community connection, especially for refugees, migrants, and low-income families in Westminster and surrounding areas. Our centre includes a multi-purpose community hall, meeting and classroom spaces, and a small kitchen where we prepare and distribute food to families and individuals in need. We identify service users through a combination of: Community outreach, Referrals from local Cllrs, faith organisations, and Westminster City Council departments, Direct engagement with families already attending our centre,Ongoing needs assessments via one-to-one conversations. All our services, including food support, are provided entirely free of charge to individuals and families facing hardship. We are committed to removing barriers and supporting our community without creating additional financial pressure. we provide: Free Arabic language classes for refugee and migrant women, Wellbeing and creative workshops for women and families, Signposting and support for housing, education, and employment, Youth engagement, volunteering and leadership programmes, Interfaith and cultural events to build community cohesion, Support with digital inclusion and school applications All services are provided with a focus on dignity, accessibility, and cultural sensitivity. At present, we do not collect surplus food from any retailers. We currently rely on small-scale donations from individuals in the community, including families who want to give back and occasional support from local well-wishers. We have been providing food and support for our catchment area as well as asylum seekers within Camden since the beginning of covid. There has been an increased need for support during this time due to the terrible challenges covid has inevitably bestowed upon us. We would like to be able to continue this support as long as the need is there

Sankofa Storytelling Arts empowers children and young people by fostering agency and creativity to express themselves through applied theatre, drama storytelling and arts - contributing to finding solutions and ideas on personal, community and global issues important to them. Issues are age appropriate, SEN embedded and include topics such as wellbeing, community responsibility, leadership and social mobility. Two of our services feature Summer and Winter School (which includes a free hot meal) and estate based after school workshops for children and families. We primarily deliver these services within Camden and surrounding areas of socio-economic challenges. We aim to continually foster: - Soft skills of effective communication, collaboration and quiet leadership. - For the children and young people cohorts; develop confidence, agency, artistic and solution based approaches using the arts. - Using the platform of Applied Theatre, crafts and storytelling to create meaningful conversations and positive memories. Food donated to Sankofa will be distributed both during the classes and collected by their families. Most importantly, food donations contribute towards many of their lunches or evening meals in the truest sense of the word. We thank you all for heavily subsidising their wellbeing via surplus foods and volunteering.
