Little Blue Heroes is a registered Irish charity (CHY 22275) established by Garda staff which aims to support local Gardaí in providing financial assistance to families in need they have recognised in their local communities where they work who have children undergoing long-term medical treatment for serious illness. In addition, the foundation aims to provide Garda themed distraction toys, activity books, and children’s events (e.g. Garda for a Day or Special Garda Open Days) for the children they support. The Little Blue Heroes Foundation is operated voluntary by Garda Staff, their families and community supporters.

The main object states 'to provide and operate a community resource centre for the benefit of the residents of kells, co meath which will provide support and educational services for the local community and contribute to the economic development of community based projects which will develop new skills and improve the quality of life for individuals and their community.' kprc is a community / voluntary organisation that is a catalyst for positive change to enhance community spirit and ownership, and to support people to help themselves and others. mission kprc will achieve its vision by:  providing relevant services and programmes with, and to, children, families and the community of kells;  working in cooperation with local community groups, statutory agencies and other organisations;  managing with positive energy, through a strong organisational structure. outcomes  parents will have confidence in their skills, access to support and stronger levels of resilience, leading to stable family relationships and healthier upbringing of children;  the community will be healthier, both physically and mentally, and mindful of the wellbeing of others;  particular needs within the community will be addressed through working with groups, which will be facilitated to become self-sufficient;  there will be access to formal and informal learning opportunities, which will help people to reach their full potential;  the community will benefit from networking activities and facilities of kprc and that local people are represented on decision-making bodies;  a strong organisational structure will be in place, managed with positive energy and to the highest standards, for the benefit of the community. current activities  a range of in-house and outreach information and support services  wellbeing programme promoting and supporting physical and mental health  family support programme supporting the parenting role through information, support services and training programmes  skills & personal development training programme providing a range of courses to encourage and support participation and provide development opportunities  youth programme providing a range of youth clubs and activities for children aged 6 to 18 years  provision of community facilities to voluntary and community groups  networking and working in co-operation with statutory and voluntary organisations to support the development of families and the community of kells.
